Whether it be at the start of a new year or when something impact happens in our lives, there are times when we tell ourselves that we want to achieve a result no matter the cost. However, there are moments where time passes and challenges or obstacles come in our way and that same drive and determination seem to fade away. In her book, Seven Steps to Inner Power, Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim describes the metamorphosis process for a caterpillar is interrupted in any way, you have the same healthy butterfly. The caterpillar is demonstrating patience and trust in the process. The result of that process is a healthy and happy butterfly. The same applies in our lives. Goals that we want to achieve do not come by easily and will take time. It requires a lot of hard work and determination and commitment to the journey and process. Of course, you would need to evaluate yourself throughout the process, but we need to keep the end goal in mind as we move forward.
