Every year, a group of Korean students from Yukju come to Jung SuWon Martial Arts Academy to visit for a special purpose. In this particular school district’s history curriculum, they study about the story of our founder Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim and the struggles and adversity she had to overcome to become an American success story. Through our founder’s story, they learn about having perseverance, determination and having a can do spirit. Only the top students within the district are selected to come and visit Jung SuWon Martial Arts Academy.

While they are here, they get an opportunity to learn about the spirit of Jung SuWon Martial Arts Academy and learn more about our founder Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim. They go through martial arts classes to learn about punching and kicking and also the spiritual and mental side of martial arts training. They are taught to understand the importance of never giving up and pushing through challenges to achieve their dreams. It is a wonderful opportunity for them to learn about martial arts and also interact with the other martial art students.

Our founder Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim talks about inspiring and motivating others. Everyone has their weaknesses and goes through challenges, but we need to have a positive attitude and have perseverance in our lives to overcome challenges that come our way. During their stay, they learned about the spirit of Jung SuWon Martial Arts Academy and the teachings of our founder Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim. Through these experiences, the Korean students are able to experience something that is truly unique and they will be able to carry on the spirit of perseverance and determination wherever they go.
