We had a testing on February 9th, and it was fantastic!

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim, our founder, was presiding, and here are some very special moments from that evening.  As you can imagine, every single moment was very special, but here are a few that just have to be shared.

Take Fatima, for example.  Only 12 years old, yet already suffering so much at school, being bullied and teased almost daily because of her weight.  But, she said, Jung Suwon is her home, and here Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim has taught her to value herself, and not let anyone take that from her.  Fatima stated, “they can say all they want to me, but it is not going to get to me anymore and I am not going to let it bother me anymore.  Here at Jung Suwon I am accepted for who I am, and here I can be me!”

Can you imagine what Fatima would have to go through if she didn’t come to Jung Suwon?

And then there were Ali and Jaffar, two brothers, who both admitted that before training they would fight so much they would give each other bruises almost every night, and who spent countless hours playing video games, deep into the night.

But after training under Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim at Jung Suwon, they began to change, and now Ali is an honor student at school, and they are not fighting much anymore and are not playing videogames much any more either.  But they love coming to Jung Suwon and they continue to make wonderful progress!  Training has also helped them deal with their father being far away for 6 months at a time, for Military business.

So much more to say about this testing,  but that will have to come another day.  Until then – whenever you run into difficulties – this is what you’re gonna say –

HE CAN DO, SHE CAN DO WHY NOT ME!!!
